Doug Armstrong has over ten years of experience in both applied statistical research and the life insurance industry. He joined Securian Financial in 2017 and was promoted to his current role in 2024, leading Data Science and supporting Securian Financial’s AI initiatives, helping teams identify practical applications and implement responsible AI solutions across the enterprise. Prior to Securian Financial, Doug was a fellow with the National Institute of Justice leading grant research in modeling high-dimensional forensic pattern evidence.
